The Opportunity Join a cooperative and supportive Early Learning team where you will: Support the integration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives throughout the Early Learning Centre program Collaborate with educators to develop meaningful, age-appropriate cultural learning experiences Foster a culturally safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all children Promote children's understanding of culture, identity, community, and connection to Country Support children's learning, wellbeing, and development through play-based and inquiry-based approaches Act as a cultural role model, encouraging respect, understanding, and pride in First Nations cultures Assist with celebrating significant cultural events,



including NAIDOC Week and National Reconciliation Week Build strong partnerships with families and local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities Support documentation, learning observations, and curriculum planning processes Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture within the Early Learning Centre About You You are a passionate and community-focused educator who: Holds a current Blue Card or Exemption Card Has demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures Has strong connections to, or engagement with, local First Nations communities Holds current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis qualifications Holds, or is actively studying towards, a Certificate III in Children's Services or higher (or approved equivalent qualification) Demonstrates excellent communication and relationship-building skills Is committed to creating culturally responsive and inclusive learning environments Thrives in a collaborative and child-centred educational setting Is passionate about supporting young children to develop a strong sense of identity, belonging,



and wellbeing Highly Desirable Experience working within an early childhood or educational setting Training in embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within early childhood programs Knowledge of local Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander language and culture Experience in storytelling, music, art, or cultural practices relevant to young children Understanding of play-based learning approaches Trauma-informed practice training Social and emotional wellbeing or Mental Health First Aid training Why This School?
