What does the job look like?
As the Distribution Centre Manager of Linfox's state-of-the-art facility in Laverton, Victoria, the largest in our network, you will be responsible for leading and optimising all aspects of warehouse operations.
This high-impact role requires close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the ongoing success of the distribution centre, our customers, and our people.
You will drive the integration of new business opportunities, champion innovative processes and technologies, and maximise operational efficiency to deliver robust commercial outcomes for the contract.
Key responsibilities include: Oversee daily warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring optimal productivity and resource efficiency.
Lead and embed a high-performance safety culture, maintaining compliance and driving continuous improvement.
Deliver exceptional service across 17 customer accounts, including major partners.
Manage operational budgets, cost control, and financial performance Foster a positive, productive work culture for a large team with 4 direct reports Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, resolve service issues, and drive business growth.
Lead, motivate, and develop your team, supporting ongoing training, succession planning, and performance management.

You are an experienced DC Manager who can demonstrate leadership and execute service excellence in a transport operation across your customer network.




You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have extensive experience in commercial, operational, customer, and unionized work environments.
You can demonstrate: Extensive knowledge of warehouse in large-scale settings.
Strong financial and commercial acumen with a keen eye for analytics.
Proven experience in developing and leading CI/Lean programs across warehousing and transport.
Proven experience in developing and maintaining high-performance teams and culture.
Engagement with key stakeholders regarding budget, resource, and capital planning, as well as key performance reporting and analysis to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
High-level negotiation and communication skills with staff and third parties, including unions.
Ability to achieve and drive financial plans and operational targets.
