Expression of Interest - Traffic Officer / Cane Rail Labourer Applications are being sought internally for a permanent Traffic Officer / Cane Rail Labourer.
This role is based at the Inkerman Operations Centre, located at Inkerman Mill in the Burdekin Region.
During the Crush this position operates on a continuous rotating shift roster, which may include weekends and occasional overtime.
The role then switches to a day work schedule during the maintenance.
The following criteria will be used in the selection process: Demonstrate a positive understanding of rail transport operations.
Be able to work safely and look after the safety of others.
Possess excellent communication skills.
Be able to provide regular and accurate feedback on the operation's performance.
Be adaptable to and support ongoing change.
Have intermediate level of computer skills.
Hold a manual 'C' class driver's licence.
Essential criteria The successful applicant will have a proven high standard of attendance and punctuality as well as the ability to work effectively as a member of a small productive team.
