Job Description Team Leader Parking Services Sunshine Coast Council | Caloundra Lead and develop a diverse team Shape an evolving, technology-enabled regional parking service $107,706 - $115,039 + super | Nine-day fortnight Sunshine Coast Council is seeking an experienced people and operational leader to lead its Parking Services team at an important point in the service's evolution.
This is broader than a traditional parking enforcement role.
Council is bringing together regulated and paid parking services, creating an opportunity to improve how the service operates, uses technology and data, manages suppliers and responds to the needs of a rapidly growing region.
Leading a team of 12 Parking Officers, you will coordinate day-to-day parking operations across the Sunshine Coast, establish clear priorities and rosters, develop team capability and ensure regulation is applied fairly, consistently and with sound judgement.
You will also oversee operational contracts and service providers, contribute to procurement and system improvements, monitor financial and operational performance, and use data to improve deployment, customer outcomes and service efficiency.
Council's approach to parking regulation is practical and community focused.




The objective is not simply enforcement, but encouraging secure and appropriate parking behaviours, supporting access and turnover, and helping the community understand why regulation is necessary.
About You You may come from local government, regulatory services or another operational environment involving people leadership, customer service, contracts, technology and compliance.
You will be a capable team leader with strong business judgement, curiosity and the confidence to improve how things are done.
You will be comfortable managing competing operational priorities, dealing with escalated customer matters and working across a broad stakeholder environment.
Direct parking management experience will be valuable, but it is not essential.
Robust leadership, operational management and the ability to bring people with you through change are more important.
