We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with a strong background in manufacturing to support the design, development, maintenance, and optimisation of industrial automation systems.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of projects involving PLC, SCADA, HMI, and industrial networks while contributing to operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, program, and commission automation and control systems.
Modify and optimise PLC, SCADA, and HMI applications to improve plant performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve automation and process control issues in a manufacturing setting.
Support capital projects from concept through to commissioning and handover.
Collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to improve system reliability and uptime.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, control philosophies, and functional specifications.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions.
Ensure automation systems comply with site safety and quality standards.
Skills Experience Degree in Electrical Engineering,



Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or similar.
Proven experience working within a manufacturing, food beverage, FMCG, pharmaceutical, packaging, or industrial processing environment.
Strong hands-on experience with: Siemens (TIA Portal, S7 PLCs, WinCC) Rockwell / Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, FactoryTalk) Schneider Electric (EcoStruxure, Modicon PLCs) Experience with SCADA and HMI development and support.
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols including Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, and OPC.
Experience with commissioning, fault finding, and system integration.
Understanding of industrial control panels, instrumentation, drives, and field devices.
Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
