Non-Executive DirectorAustralian Institute of Architects Foundation The Australian Institute of Architects Foundation is seeking an experienced Non-Executive Director to join its Board.The Foundation is the charitable arm of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects.
Through education, research, scholarships, exhibitions and community initiatives, it promotes artistic and technical excellence in architecture for the benefit of Australian communities.
Following a significant review in ****, the Foundation is entering a new phase of growth and is seeking leaders who can help strengthen its philanthropic capacity, expand its community impact and support its long-term sustainability.
This role will particularly suit candidates with experience in philanthropy, fundraising, donor engagement, sponsorship, partnerships, charitable organisations or governance.As a Director, you will contribute to the Foundation's strategic direction, governance, financial sustainability and risk oversight.
You will also play an active role in helping the Foundation develop donor relationships, identify partnership opportunities and grow support for its charitable mission.




We are seeking candidates who bring: AICD qualifications or significant experience serving on not-for-profit boards Knowledge of charity governance and Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission requirements Experience working with donors, sponsors, philanthropists, foundations, community organisations or strategic partners Demonstrated success building and maintaining stakeholder relationships Robust professional and community networks An interest in philanthropy, fundraising and creating lasting community benefit A commitment to supporting the Foundation's purpose and future growth Appointment details Volunteer position Three-year term Four to five Board meetings each year One in-person meeting annually, with remaining meetings held online Active participation in fundraising, stakeholder engagement and Foundation activities This is an opportunity to help build a growing national charity and support architecture's contribution to Australian communities through philanthropy, education and public benefit.
