Key responsibilities

Programming, setup and operation of Sodick CNC Wire EDM machinery
n
Manufacture of precision tooling and components to tight tolerances
n
Programming from engineering drawings and technical specifications
n
Proving programs and carrying out first-off inspections
n
Precision measurement and quality inspection
n
Troubleshooting machining and tooling issues
n
General toolmaking and precision machining
n
Maintaining machinery, tooling and a safe work environment
n
n
About you
n
n
Proven Wire EDM programming, setup and operating experience
n
CNC machining experience within a toolroom or precision manufacturing environment
n
Australian-recognised 1st Class Machinist / Toolmaker qualification
n
CAM programming experience
n
Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
n
Experience with precision measuring equipment
n
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
n
Valuable attention to detail and pride in workmanship
n
Ability to work independently and within a small team
n
