Job Description: Endorsed Enrolled Nurse - Casual Nurse Bank
St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne is seeking a number of passionate and experienced Endorsed Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to join the Nurse Workforce Unit's Casual Nurse Bank team (acute medical and surgical, subacute, residential aged care and selected specialty area streams). The casual position requires a minimum of 12 months nursing experience. The role is based in Fitzroy, close to Gertrude Street and the CBD. You will encounter a challenging and rewarding work environment and a friendly and supportive team atmosphere.
Classifications for this position will range between IB84 - IB88 ($75,****** - $80,****** per annum, pro rata).

About the Nurse Workforce Unit (NWU)
SVHM adopts a centralised nurse workforce model.



This means that all casual bank nurses are employed under the Nurse Workforce Unit (NWU) Casual Nurse Bank team, regardless of where they work within the organisation. The Health-e-Workforce platform is utilised by the nurse workforce team to offer shifts fair and equitably to all casual bank nurses according to their skill sets across all wards throughout the hospital.
About the Position
Working across dynamic settings, you will be required to use your exceptional clinical skills to efficiently and accurately plan, coordinate and evaluate care needs to ensure high quality. We look for ENs with a minimum of 12 months experience for a casual role. The casual nature of employment allows for flexible rostering depending on supplementary staffing demand.

Current condition free registration with AHPRA
Diploma of Nursing
Minimum 12 months experience
Demonstrated ability to nurse a diverse range of patients and adapt to different work practices and environments
The ability to maintain a high level of communication with patients, staff and visitors
Commitment to working a minimum of 1 shift per 3 calendar months
Valid NDIS check or willingness to obtain
Valid Police Check or willingness to obtain
12 months experience refers to experience in both the specific role and clinical area you wish to work in. For example, if you are an EN with 12 months EN experience, but no RN experience, you may not meet the selection criteria for an RN casual bank role. Additionally, 12 months of nursing experience relates to the clinical areas this experience was undertaken in, for example, with 12 months of RN experience in residential aged care,



you may not meet the selection criteria to work in acute clinical settings.
