We're looking for a Payroll & Finance Officer to join our growing team at HYPAR Group, supporting payroll and finance across a diverse and purpose-driven organisation.

This is a 0.8 FTE, 4 day per week role based at our Narangba head office.

You'll work 4 days per week, with Monday and Tuesday required as full working days due to payroll processing deadlines. Your remaining two days can be flexible by agreement, giving you the opportunity to build a working pattern that fits your life.

What you'll be doing
n
Reporting to our Finance Manager, you'll play an important role across both payroll and finance, helping ensure our people are paid accurately and on time and our financial processes run smoothly.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
Processing payroll accurately and efficiently across our business
n
Managing timesheet and payroll data, including reviewing and resolving discrepancies
n
Applying relevant industrial instruments and employment conditions to payroll
n
Working with SCHADS Award classifications, allowances, penalties, overtime and other award conditions
n
Supporting managers with payroll-related queries
n
Supporting reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
n
Assisting with Budgetly queries and expenditure processes
n
Providing general finance and payroll support to the Finance Manager
n
Identifying opportunities to improve payroll and finance processes and systems
n
What we're looking for
n
We're looking for someone who is experienced, organised and genuinely enjoys payroll and finance administration.




n
You'll ideally bring:
n
Previous experience in a payroll officer or similar role, with solid end-to-end payroll experience
n
Previous experience interpreting and applying the SCHADS Award
n
Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Business Administration or similar
n
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
n
Confidence working with confidential payroll and employee information
n
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to firm deadlines
n
Positive Excel and general systems capability
n
A practical, problem-solving approach
n
The ability to work independently while also being part of a collaborative team
n
We are transitioning our payroll and HR processes to Employment Hero, so experience using Employment Hero payroll, HR or workforce management systems will be highly regarded.
n
Experience with other payroll systems is also valuable we're more interested in your payroll knowledge and ability to learn systems quickly than having used one particular platform.

Compliance Requirements

The following compliance screenings are required to be obtained and maintained to fulfil the role:

LCS2 (Child Safety Screening) or willing to obtain
n
Paid Blue Card or willing to obtain
n




Paid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (formerly Yellow Card) or willing to obtain
n
Open QLD Driver's Licence
n
