Child Care Cook, Part Time (Food Safety Supervisor)

Juniors at Wamberal has a permanent, part-time, position for an enthusiastic and team orientated Cook.
n
The position requires someone who is genuinely passionate and motivated about making a positive difference in the lives of our children, families and colleagues.
n
We are a small, family owned service. We are passionate about providing high quality education and care to all children attending our service.
n
We operate 51 weeks of the year close over the Christmas/Recent Year period and Public Holidays. Our business hours are 7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
n
At Juniors, we require a team player, someone who is reliable, dedicated to current best practices, a excellent communicator, ability to follow direction, passionate about nutritious food, health and safety and able to manage a kitchen.

About the role
n
n
You will need to be available Friday from 8.30am to 2pm (and extra days to cover leave in the kitchen)
n
Follow recipes and menu provided
n
Prepare and cook morning tea, lunch,



afternoon tea and supper as per the menu
n
Manage stock rotation and follow ordering systems in place
n
Understand and manage intolerances, allergies, anaphylaxis and medical condition needs
n
Maintain daily cleaning and meet Food Inspection standards (our current Scores on Doors rating is 5 stars/Excellent)
n
While the position does not require professional cooking training, it does require the successful applicant to hold a current Food Safety Supervisor certificate
n

The successful applicants will have
n
n
Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate (number and renewal date)
n
A current Working With Children number
n
National Child Safety training certificate (Geccko)
n
Experience cooking in an Early Childhood service is desirable
n
Confident written and verbal communication skills
n
Ability to follow menus, recipes and provide allergen friendly meals
n
