Top Deck is currently seeking experienced Formwork Carpenters to join its team on major commercial construction projects across Sydney. This is a full-time position suited to candidates with solid experience in commercial formwork, concrete structures and construction site operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
n

Interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications
n
Measure, cut, assemble and install timber and formwork materials
n
Construct, install and dismantle formwork systems for concrete structures including slabs, walls, columns and beams
n
Carry out carpentry and formwork works in accordance with project requirements and safety standards
n
Operate hand tools, power tools and construction equipment safely and effectively
n
Work with site supervisors and other trades to complete projects within required timeframes
n
Maintain a safe and organised work environment in accordance with WHS requirements
n

About You
n
For this role, you should have:
n
n
Trade qualification in Carpentry (AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV) or equivalent relevant experience
n
Demonstrated experience in commercial formwork and concrete structure projects
n
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, formwork plans and specifications
n
Experience constructing, installing and dismantling formwork systems for concrete structures
n
Ability to work safely at heights and within active construction environments
n
Solid understanding of workplace health and safety requirements on construction sites
n
Ability to work effectively within a team workplace and meet project deadlines
n
Experience working on commercial or high-rise construction projects
n
Experience using proprietary formwork systems (e.g. PERI, Doka or similar systems)
n
White Card (Construction Induction Card)
n
Valid driver licence and reliable transport
n
