About the Role
n
As a Manager in our Business Advisory Services division, you'll take ownership of a diverse client portfolio, delivering compliance, tax, and strategic advisory services while acting as a trusted advisor to business owners. You'll play a key role in managing engagements end-to-end, developing junior team members, and identifying opportunities to add value for clients beyond the numbers.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of SME and private business clients across various industries, acting as their primary point of contact
n
Oversee preparation and review of financial statements, income tax returns, and management reports
n
Provide proactive business advisory services, including cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning
n
Identify and advise on tax planning opportunities and structuring for clients
n
Review work completed by graduates and intermediate accountants, providing technical guidance and feedback
n
Build and maintain strong client relationships,



identifying opportunities for additional services
n
Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and profitability
n
Support the Partner group with business development and client pitches
n
Contribute to the training, mentoring, and career development of junior team members
n
Stay current on changes in tax legislation, accounting standards, and industry developments
n

About You
n
n
Minimum 5+ years' experience in public practice, ideally within a mid-tier or top-tier firm
n
Strong technical knowledge across tax, accounting standards, and business advisory services
n
Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and engagement delivery
n
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop junior staff
n
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts for clients
n
Strong commercial acumen and a genuine interest in helping businesses grow
n
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, CCH, or similar)
n
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities
n
