The role:
We are seeking an experienced
Business Development Manager
to identify new market opportunities, develop strategic client partnerships and help drive the continued growth of our business.
This is more than a traditional sales role. We are looking for someone who understands how to develop business through identifying opportunities, understanding client needs, creating commercially viable solutions and building long-term partnerships.
Working closely with our Directors, COO/CFO, NPD and operational teams, you will take ownership of business development from initial opportunity and client engagement through to commercial agreement, new product development and successful delivery.
What you'll do
Identify and develop new markets, business opportunities and strategic partnerships
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective B2B clients
Develop long-term relationships with new and existing clients
Understand client brands, product objectives and commercial requirements
Qualify opportunities and progress viable prospects through the business development process
Coordinate quoting, pricing and commercial discussions




Manage client relationships from initial brief through NPD, pre-production and delivery
Coordinate NPD projects across clients and internal teams using Asana or similar systems
Work closely with Technical, Quality, Production and Supply Chain teams
Monitor business development activity, project progress and key performance measures
Contribute to forecasting, budgets and business growth planning
Attend industry events and undertake domestic and international travel where required
What we're looking for
You will be a commercially minded relationship builder who enjoys creating opportunities and developing long-term business partnerships
3-5+ years' experience in business development, commercial development or key account management
Proven experience developing recent B2B business and client relationships
Experience within sports nutrition, supplements, FMCG, food manufacturing or contract manufacturing
Experience with quoting, pricing, commercial negotiations and client expectations
Strong market-development and opportunity-identification skills
Strong project and stakeholder management capability
Experience with Asana, Monday.com, Trello or similar project management tools
Commercial understanding of budgets, forecasting and performance metrics
Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-management skills
A proactive, solutions-focused approach
Current Australian Driver's Licence and passport
