Do you love the smell of fresh baked goods in the morning and want to work in a hands-on role? Then keep reading — because Earlyrise Baking Co is looking for a Qualified Pastry Chef or Bakery Assistant to join our Cake Department.

About the Role

n

In your role as a Qualified Pastry Chef or Bakery Assistant, your key responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

n

Measure, mix and bake our range of cake and pastry products

n

Operate and control manual, semi-automatic and automatic machines from mixers, dispensers and ovens.

n

Keep production lines moving like a well-oiled (and floured) machine.

n

Assist in cleaning food work areas, machinery and equipment.

n

About You

n

While not mandatory, an AQF qualification in Baking or a related food production qualification would be highly regarded;

n

An understanding of Food Safety, Valuable Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards;

n





Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain high standards of quality in work.

n

Physically fit and capable of regular heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (maximum 25kg).

Qualified and/or experienced salary starting from $71,480.70 as per award rates and shift allowances and in line with experience.
