Creative Sensory Spaces is looking for a practical, capable and experienced Installer & Fabricator to join our growing Sydney team.
n
We design, manufacture and install innovative sensory environments across Australia – creating immersive spaces for schools, hospitals, airports, stadiums, disability organisations and community facilities.
n
This is a hands‐on role combining fabrication and production in our Sydney warehouse with onsite installation of our sensory spaces.
n
We're looking for someone who understands how things are built, knows their way around tools and installation methods, can confidently problem‐solve onsite, and takes pride in producing a high‐quality finished result.
n
The Role
n
Working across both our warehouse and project sites, you will be involved in:
n
n
Fabrication, assembly and preparation of sensory products and custom‐built elements
n
Installation of sensory rooms and environments onsite
n
Wall and ceiling mounting, fixings, framing and general installation work
n
Selecting appropriate installation and fixing methods for different substrates and site conditions
n
Using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment
n
Reading plans, measurements and installation documentation
n
Packing, loading, heavy lifting and preparing projects for transport
n




Troubleshooting and problem‐solving during installations
n
Working collaboratively with our production and project team
n
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse and worksite
n
Travelling locally and interstate for project installations
n
n
About You
n
You'll ideally have experience in installation, fabrication, construction, shopfitting, joinery, signage, exhibitions, fit‐outs or a similar hands‐on environment.
n
More important than a particular trade background is having strong practical knowledge and being someone who can look at an installation challenge and work out the best way to execute it.
n
You will have:
n
n
Strong knowledge of installation techniques, fixings and tools
n
Hands‐on fabrication or construction experience
n
Confidence using power tools and workshop equipment
n
Valuable attention to detail and pride in workmanship
n
Strong practical problem‐solving skills
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
n
Ability to work onsite and adapt when site conditions change
n
Willingness and availability to travel for projects
n
A reliable, skilled and positive approach to work
n
n




Experience with CNC machinery, CAD/Fusion 360, electrical components, lighting, cabinetry or custom fabrication would be highly regarded but is not essential.

Current White Card
n
Current Australian Driver Licence
n
Current Working With Children Check
n
Ability to obtain a National Police Check on request, where required for particular client sites or projects
n
Ability and willingness to travel interstate when required
n
