Diamond Blast are seeking a skilled and motivated Painting Trades Worker and extremely motivated and who is ready to contribute to a variety of projects in the construction and maintenance industry.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and applying primers.
Apply paint, coatings, and finishes to a range of surfaces including walls, ceilings, and external structures to maintain and/or decorate.
Mix paints and coatings to achieve the correct consistency and color.
Apply protective coatings to surfaces to prevent damage or deterioration.
Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness on the job site.
Follow detailed instructions for painting and finishing as required by the project specifications.
Work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring effective completion of tasks.
Skills & Qualifications
Certificate III in Painting and Decorating + 1 years work experience or 3 years relevant full time work experience.
Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
Knowledge of different types of paints, coatings, and application techniques.
Ability to work at heights and on ladders when required.
Experience working with protective coatings and finishes is a plus.
Valuable communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Ability to work to deadlines and manage time effectively.
Ability to work in a variety of environments, including commercial, residential, and industrial settings.
