Key responsibilities
Setting up and operating CNC machining centres
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and 3D models
Machining complex and close-tolerance tooling components
Selecting and setting cutting tools, workholding and machining parameters
Carrying out tool offsets and machine adjustments
Inspecting finished components to ensure they meet drawing specifications
Performing in-process measurements and quality checks
Working with CAM programs and CNC programs
Identifying and resolving machining and tooling issues
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area

About you
Previous experience as a CNC Machinist
Experience with CNC machining centres
Robust understanding of machining processes and cutting tools
Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T;
Experience machining steel and other tooling materials
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good problem-solving skills
A reliable and professional approach to work
Experience in die-casting tooling, mould making,



toolmaking or precision engineering will be highly regarded
