Content Writer / Editor - Consistency Reviewing, Word Doc - Federal Government!

One of Australia'sleading Federal Government departmentsis looking to engage an experiencedContent Writer / Editor to undertake a comprehensive copy edit of the typeset and word version of the manuscript to ensure clarity, consistency, readability and accuracy prior to graphic design and publication.
The successfulContent Writer / Editor will secure an initial contract until December 15, **** with the view to be extended for a further 12 months and receive a rewarding hourly rate!
The successfulContent Writer / Editor will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Review the manuscript in its entirety.
Improve clarity of expression and sentence structure where required.
Ensure consistent use of terminology and technical language.
Raise editorial queries where clarification is required.
The successfulContent Writer / Editorwill have experience in the following:




Demonstrated experience providing professional copy editing, proofreading and publication editing for complex or high-profile documents.
Strong knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax and editorial conventions, with the ability to improve clarity and readability without changing intended meaning.
Experience reviewing documents developed by multiple authors and stakeholders, identifying duplication, inconsistencies, ambiguity and conflicting terminology.
Robust attention to detail across terminology, acronyms, capitalisation, numbers, references, headings, cross-references, tone and document structure.
