Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking motivated 1st Year Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentices for our **** Early Acceptance Program in Artarmon, NSW.

This is a great opportunity to get ahead and secure an apprenticeship pathway before the **** intake. You'll gain hands‐on experience in a professional automotive workshop, work alongside qualified technicians and develop the practical skills needed to become a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic.

Through our Early Acceptance Program, suitable candidates can begin the recruitment process while completing Year 12, giving you the opportunity to secure your next step before finishing school.

You'll complete your AUR***** Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology while earning a wage and developing practical skills across vehicle servicing, mechanical repairs, diagnostics and preventative maintenance.

What You'll Be Doing
n
Working alongside qualified technicians, you'll develop hands‐on skills in:
n
n
Carrying out routine vehicle servicing and scheduled maintenance.
n
Assisting with the diagnosis and repair of mechanical faults.
n
Inspecting and repairing braking, steering and suspension systems.
n
Assisting with engine and drivetrain repairs.
n
Replacing worn or damaged mechanical components.
n
Carrying out vehicle inspections and safety checks.
n
Learning to use modern diagnostic equipment and workshop technology.
n
Checking and replacing fluids, filters and other service components.
n
Following workshop procedures and repair specifications.
n
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
n
n
As your skills and confidence develop, you'll gradually take on more complex servicing, diagnostic and repair work under the guidance of experienced technicians.

About You

To be considered for our **** Early Acceptance Program, you must:

Have completed Year 12 by the commencement of the apprenticeship.
n
Hold a current P1 driver's licence or higher.
n
Have a genuine passion for cars and automotive mechanics.
n
Be hands‐on and mechanically minded.
n
Have a positive attitude and strong willingness to learn.
n
Demonstrate reliability and a robust work ethic.
n
Have excellent attention to detail.
n
Be able to listen, follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
n
Have good communication and problem‐solving skills.
n
Be able to reliably travel to Artarmon, NSW.
n
n
Previous workshop experience or a Certificate II is not required. We're looking for candidates with the right attitude, a genuine interest in automotive and a commitment to completing their apprenticeship.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents to be eligible for this apprenticeship.
n
Applicants must also complete Year 12 prior to commencement and hold a current P1 driver's licence or higher.
