Job Description
Maxwell Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to work across a range of industrial sites throughout Wollongong and the Illawarra, with the majority of work based at BlueScope Steel.

The Role
n
Your duties may include:
n
n
Completing planned and preventative mechanical maintenance
n
Attending breakdowns and diagnosing mechanical faults
n
Repairing and replacing bearings, pumps, gearboxes, rollers and conveyor components
n
Maintaining fixed plant and heavy industrial machinery
n
Completing equipment installations and mechanical upgrades
n
Removing, repairing and reinstalling mechanical components
n
Completing precision fitting, alignment and assembly work
n
Completing isolations and following site LOTO procedures
n

About You
n
n
Australian-recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
n
Previous experience in heavy industrial maintenance
n
Construction White Card
n
Current driver's licence and reliable transport
n
Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
n
A reliable attitude and commitment to protected work practices
n
