Oz Victoria Painting and Decorating Services Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Painter & Decorator to join our growing team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will take pride in producing high-quality workmanship and have strong knowledge of qualified painting, decorating and surface preparation techniques. You will be responsible for preparing, painting and finishing a variety of interior and exterior surfaces across residential and commercial projects throughout Melbourne, while maintaining consistently high standards of workmanship.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Strong cutting and rolling skills.
n
Interior and exterior painting experience.
n
Experience with spray painting, including roof spraying.
n
Experience applying epoxy flooring.
n
Completing basic plaster repairs, patching and preparation work.
n
Painting feature walls and decorative finishes.
n
Painting doors, frames, skirting boards and architraves.
n
Proper surface preparation, including sanding, filling and caulking.
n
Applying undercoats, primers and various paint finishes.
n
Using brushes, rollers and spray equipment safely and effectively.
n

About you
n
n
Relevant qualifications in Painting and Decorating or equivalent trade experience and a recognised certificate in painting and construction.
n




A minimum of 3 years' relevant painting and decorating experience, particularly in high-end residential and/or commercial projects.
n
Strong knowledge of surface preparation and professional painting techniques.
n
Experience applying a range of paints, coatings and decorative finishes.
n
Confidence using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
n
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishes.
n
Ability to interpret job specifications and select appropriate materials and preparation methods.
n
Good time management and organisational skills.
n
A strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
n
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
