This is a 4-day-a-week role at a high-luxury, colour-focused salon working exclusively with O&M;, Oribe and Davines. We offer the full range of services, but transformative colour is our thing — no weekends, and how your 4 days are structured is flexible (happy to talk through what works for you at interview), plus a genuine client base already in place through our membership model (mix of steady flow and room to build your own book).

The Perks (upfront, because they matter)

You choose your services. Not every stylist loves every part of the job — if upstyling isn't your thing, you're not stuck doing it. We build each senior's day-to-day around what they actually enjoy, because you do better work (and stick around longer) doing what you want to do.

A 4-day week, always with Sunday and Monday off. The 4 working days are flexible — we'll talk through what suits you at interview — but your Sunday–Monday break is guaranteed, every week. You also don't have to work Saturday If you don't want to.

Two weeks paid onboarding, shadowing our team before you're on the floor with your own clients — no being thrown in on day one.

Commission on top of your hourly rate — your own individual commission,



plus team-based bonuses and outings when we hit targets together. Full structure discussed at interview.

Closed over Christmas — 23rd December through to early/mid-January, paid break.

Team events — Melbourne Cup and other get-togethers through the year, on us.

Complimentary lunch on us, once a month on a Friday.

Junior assistants to support you through the day — you're not doing it all solo.

In-house training through our own academy, alongside external education.

Retail at cost price for yourself.

Your own hair done by the team, completely on us — colour, cuts, the lot.

Support to grow your social media, since it helps build both your personal brand and ours.

A steady flow of clients as you settle in, plus the support to grow your own column.

Systems that keep admin light — clients book and manage their own appointments through our salon app, bookings run through Phorest, colour formulas are logged digitally through Vish (no more scribbling notes or trying to remember what you mixed last time), and opening/closing procedures are digital too — so there's far less admin landing on you, including fewer booking messages at home at night.

Ongoing education, salon-funded. Continued learning isn't optional here — we expect our team to always be evolving — but you choose the courses that interest you. If you want to keep growing at what you love doing, we'll pay for it.

A real career pathway — for the right person, there's a clear route to grow into a freelance model down the track, once you've built your clientele with us.

The Role
n
HUEZ is a high-end,



colour-focused salon built around craft and a genuinely considered client experience. Transformative colour is our specialty and our reputation, so if you love pushing colour work — corrections, dimension, big changes done properly — this is a salon built around exactly that. Your role is made up of the services below, but which ones make up most of your day is up to you (see "you choose your services" below). We work exclusively with premium product lines: O&M; for colour, and Oribe and Davines for haircare — no compromising on quality to cut costs. We also run a client membership model, so you'll be working with a loyal, returning client base rather than one-off appointments.

Day to day (tailored to what you actually enjoy doing — more on that below):

Transformative colour with O&M; — foils, balayage, colour correction, dimension work
n
Precision cutting and styling across hair types and textures
n
Extensions and nanoplasty — if you don't already do these but want to, we'll train you so you can grow your clientele with current services
n
Client consultations sent digitally ahead of the appointment, so you know what's walking in before they arrive — nothing left to guesswork
n
Retail recommendations across our Oribe and Davines range that actually suit the client
n

What We're Looking For
n
n
4+ years experience as a qualified hairdresser — but if you've got less than that and genuinely believe you've got what it takes, we love confidence: reach out and let's chat

Someone who cares about the craft and the client experience — and genuinely wants to keep learning and improving, not just clock hours
n
Reliable, professional, a good fit for a small team where everyone pulls their weight
n
Comfortable with (or open to learning) Phorest, Vish, and digital salon systems — no paper here
n
Willing to be active on social media to help build your personal brand and grow your own clientele — we'll support you with this, but it's part of the job
