Working as part of the Payroll team, you will help ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while providing an efficient payroll administration service. The position also involves maintaining payroll data integrity and generating client invoices based on employee hours and services provided.
Key responsibilities
End-to-end payroll processing
Processing timesheets, payroll adjustments and back payments
Payroll calculations and reconciliations
Maintaining employee details and employment changes
Reviewing payroll reports and identifying anomalies
Processing deductions including child support and Centrelink
Assisting with month-end payroll activities and financial audits
Cross-checking timesheets against job orders
Client invoicing
Responding to payroll queries from employees and clients
About you
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar end-to-end payroll role
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience interpreting Modern Awards and/or Enterprise Agreements
Sound knowledge of payroll legislation, superannuation and long service leave
Experience with termination calculations, leave entitlements and eligible termination payments
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Robust written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage confidential information appropriately
