Job Description
This position sits within the Community function of the Corporate Affairs team, reporting to the Executive Manager – Community. It's a site-based role with responsibility for coordination and support of operational readiness, operations and community engagement activities. Please note this is a 6-month maximum term position.

Key responsibilities

Support the delivery of community and stakeholder engagement programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory and project commitments.
n
Coordinate community consultation activities, forums, meetings, communications, and engagement initiatives across construction and operational phases.
n
Manage community enquiries and complaints, ensuring timely resolution, continuous improvement of processes, and a positive customer experience.
n
Deliver community engagement campaigns, project notifications, and communications that keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
n
Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, businesses, community groups, and key stakeholders impacted by airport development and operations.
n
Represent community interests by collaborating with internal teams and contributing to decisions that affect local communities.
n
Identify engagement risks and opportunities, providing insights that support project outcomes and community expectations.
n
Support the implementation of Corporate Affairs and Community Engagement strategies, programs, and initiatives.
n
Champion safety, compliance, and best-practice engagement across all community interactions.
n
Contribute to a collaborative, agile team workplace, supporting ad hoc projects and activities as required.

About You
n
n
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
n
3-4 years' experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations, communications, or corporate affairs, ideally within infrastructure, construction, or major projects.
n
Proven ability to develop and deliver community engagement and communication materials for diverse audiences.
n




Solid stakeholder engagement skills, with experience building effective relationships across internal and external groups.
n
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, accessible messaging.
n
Strong organisational, administration, and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
n
Collaborative, adaptable, and solution-focused approach, with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to organisational values.
n
Current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to undertake occasional out-of-hours and weekend work.
n
IAP2 accreditation is highly regarded.
