An opportunity exists for an experienced Safety Manager to join the team on an initial six-month assignment.

The Role
n
As Safety Manager, you will take ownership of all health, safety and wellbeing activities for a major logistics site. You will partner closely with operational leaders and frontline teams to drive continuous improvement, support compliance, and embed a strong safety-first culture across the facility.
n
This is a hands‐on role suited to an experienced safety professional who is confident working in a fast‐paced operational environment and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
n
Duties:
n

Lead all health, safety and wellbeing initiatives across the site.
n
Provide expert advice and support to leaders, supervisors and employees on WHS matters.
n
Drive continuous improvement of safety systems, policies and procedures.
n
Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
n
Lead incident investigations and ensure effective corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
n
Monitor safety performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve outcomes.
n
Manage contractor safety and ensure compliance with site requirements.
n
Deliver safety training, toolbox talks and coaching to leaders and employees.
n
Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company standards and industry best practice.
n




Promote and maintain a positive, engaged and proactive safety culture.

Skills & Experience
n
n
Previousexperience in a Safety Manager, HSE Manager or Senior Safety Advisor role.
n
Experience within logistics, warehousing, transport, manufacturing or other operational environments.
n
Solid knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and safety management systems.
n
Proven experience leading safety programs and driving cultural change.
n
Strong incident investigation, risk management and hazard identification capabilities.
n
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
Ability to influence, coach and support leaders at all levels of the organisation.
n
Relevant qualification in Workplace Health & Safety or a related discipline.
n
ICAM or equivalent incident investigation training highly regarded.
