Trainee Boiler Attendant / Boiler Attendant
Casino Food Company is a leading food processor and exporter with operations based in Casino and Booyong, near Lismore, in the Northern Rivers region of NSW.
We are seeking a Trainee Boiler Attendant / Boiler Attendant to join our Maintenance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or build a career in industrial plant operations.
The successful applicant will receive training and support to develop the skills and qualifications required to operate and maintain boiler systems in a large-scale food manufacturing environment.
This role involves rotating shift work and overtime as required.
About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance team, your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring and operating boiler, steam and hot water systems
Assisting with the operation and monitoring of refrigeration plant equipment
Conducting routine inspections and system checks
Testing and monitoring boiler water treatment and chemical systems
Performing basic maintenance and housekeeping activities
Assisting tradespeople with maintenance tasks and projects
Ensuring work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures
About You
We are looking for reliable and motivated individuals who demonstrate:
A strong work ethic and positive attitude
A commitment to workplace safety




Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems
Flexibility to work rotating rosters, including weekends and overtime
A willingness to undertake training and further development
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
While not essential, the following will be highly regarded:
Boiler Attendant High Risk Work Licence (Standard or Advanced)
Experience in manufacturing, processing or industrial environments
Forklift Licence
EWP, Dogging or Crane High Risk Work Licences
HR or HC Driver Licence
Experience operating mobile plant such as loaders, excavators or skid steers
