What does the job look like?
Linfox Resources & Industrial is seeking aTransport Managerto lead a key transport operation based onsite at one of our major customer locations inRocklea, Queensland.We're looking for someone who enjoys being visible in the operation.
Someone who likes building capability in teams, solving problems and creating a positive culture where people can perform at their best.
While leadership experience is important, we're also open to candidates who have proven themselves as a Dispatch Supervisor, Logistics Team Leader, Operations Coordinator and are ready to step into a broader leadership position.If you've been looking for the prospect to move from supervising part of an operation to leading one, this could be the career move you've been waiting for.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading transport operations across safety, service, compliance, cost and people performance
Building strong customer relationships and acting as the key operational contact onsite
Optimising fleet, labour and subcontractor utilisation to maximise operational efficiency
Driving continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs
Managing budgets, forecasting, reporting and cost control activities
Leading,



coaching and developing frontline leaders and operational teams
Ensuring compliance with Chain of Responsibility, WHS and contractual obligations
Delivering operational reporting and performance insights to key stakeholders
Supporting workforce planning, recruitment, succession planning and employee development initiatives
The role reports directly to the National Transport Manager and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on both customer outcomes and business performance.

We're looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys being close to the operation, supporting frontline teams, solving problems and building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
You'll lead a transport operation that runs in a fast-paced environment where customer expectations are high, operational challenges can change quickly, and strong leadership makes a genuine difference.
Experience within transport, logistics, fleet or supply chain operations
Leadership experience in a supervisory, team leader or coordinating capacity
Proven success developing customer relationships and delivering service excellence
A commitment to safety and operational excellence
The ability to think commercially and solve problems
A positive attitude and willingness to continue learning
Experience using transport management systems, SAP or similar platforms
