We're recruiting on behalf of a well established, community-focused not-for-profit organisation in Brisbane. With a diverse portfolio spanning aged care, disability services, childcare, education, hospitality, property and community programs, this is a complex, multi-entity operation going through a period of renewal and growth.

About the Role

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with business unit General Managers and board committee members, you'll take ownership of financial leadership across the organisation. You will be prepared and comfortable balancing a leadership role while being hands-on, with real scope to grow the role well beyond a traditional finance remit over time.

The immediate focus is hands-on by nature, building solid financial foundations. From there, this role is designed to expand into broader enterprise performance, commercial strategy and operational leadership, potentially opening a pathway toward CFO or COO responsibilities for the right person.

What You'll Be Doing
Leading budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial performance across multiple entities
Owning month-end close, statutory reporting, audit and financial governance




Partnering with General Managers to understand the commercial drivers behind each business unit
Reviewing pricing, funding models and cost drivers, including aged care and NDIS programs
Leading and developing a finance team through a period of change
Driving systems and process improvement across the finance function
Acting as a trusted financial advisor to the CEO, Boards and senior leadership

About You
CA or CPA qualified
Experience leading finance in a complex, multi-entity or multi-business setting
Solid technical grounding in reporting, governance, compliance and cash management
Commercially curious - genuinely interested in the business behind the numbers
Comfortable working closely with a broad range of highly engaged and passionate stakeholders
A track record of driving systems, process or organisational improvement
Experience in aged care, NDIS, childcare, education or the broader NFP sector is a plus but not essential

This is a role for someone who wants to own the finance function today and grow into a broader business leader tomorrow.
