Engineering Trades Australia are currently seeking1–2 experienced HD Plant Mechanics with a strong civil backgroundto join an RTIO project atMesa J.
This is a great prospect for experiencedHeavy Duty Plant Mechanicslooking for ongoing FIFO work, with approximately3 swings to start and the potential for further work.
IMPORTANT
We are specifically looking forHD Plant Mechanics with civil/heavy mobile plant experience.
This role is NOT suitable for:
Road Transport Trade Upgrades
Shutdown Fitters
Candidates without relevant civil/heavy mobile plant experience
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy mobile plant and equipment across the Mesa J project, ensuring machinery remains safe, reliable and operational.
The initial requirement is expected to be approximately3 swings, with the potential for longer-term work.
Once the initial project is complete, there may be opportunities to move onto other projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on heavy mobile plant
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
Carry out inspections,



servicing and component change-outs
Maintain civil and earthmoving equipment
Complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard
Conduct daily pre-starts and identify maintenance requirements
Maintain accurate maintenance records
Work safely and in accordance with RTIO and site requirements
Work collaboratively with operators, supervisors and other maintenance personnel
ABOUT YOU
To be successful, you will have:
Australian-recognisedHeavy Duty Plant Mechanic trade qualification
Strongcivil/heavy mobile plant experience
Proven experience maintaining and repairing civil or earthmoving equipment
Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong commitment to safety
Yourown tools
Current driver's licence
Relevant mining/site tickets and experience highly regarded
Ability to pass relevant medical and drug & alcohol screening
