The Catholic Diocese of Wollongong is seeking a suitably qualified person to join the Office of the Bishop team as Clergy Care Assistant.
The Office of the Bishop exists to support the Bishop of Wollongong in carrying out his mandate to teach, sanctify and govern.
The diocese stretches from Leppington in the North to Milton Ulladulla in the South and across to the Southern Highlands and the Macarthur.
Our office is located in beautiful Wollongong NSW.
About the role
The Clergy Care Assistant will be responsible for supporting our incardinated Diocesan priests and clergy by providing information and assistance in support of their health and wellbeing needs across all stages of their ministry.
This role will require regular travel to clergy homes and medical facilities,



including providing transport to clergy to support their healthcare and medical needs.
The Clergy Care Assistant is a vital part of our commitment to providing specialised and tailored support for the varying needs of diocesan clergy.
We are seeking someone who has:
a solid commitment to supporting the mission and ethos of the Catholic Church including through its pastoral works in education and social services,
recent clinical experience as an RN in aged care nursing in either acute or community settings,
a sound understanding of person-centred care and the ability to assess and coordinate relevant services, and
the ability to follow directions and work independently.
