Action Auto Electrical & Mechanical is a well-established Brisbane-based business with over 50 years of experience providing quality mechanical and auto electrical services across a diverse range of fleet vehicles, equipment and machinery.
We are looking for qualified Light Vehicle and Heavy Vehicle Mechanics to join our growing mechanical team at Pinkenba.
Our workload covers everything from Toyota Hilux, vans and light commercial fleet vehicles through to Mack trucks, prime movers, heavy vehicles and trailers.

About the Role
Working alongside our Workshop Manager and experienced trades team, you will carry out servicing, diagnostics,



preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs across a wide range of fleet vehicles.
Depending on your experience and trade background, you'll work across light vehicles, commercial vehicles, heavy trucks and trailers.
We are looking for mechanics who can work independently, contribute to the team and maintain a high standard of workmanship while keeping fleet vehicles safe, reliable and on the road.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out scheduled fleet servicing and preventative maintenance
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
Perform general mechanical repairs on light and/or heavy vehicles
Work on vehicles ranging from Toyota Hilux and vans through to Mack trucks, prime movers and trailers
Carry out inspections, fault finding and component replacements
Complete job cards and workshop documentation accurately
Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
Work independently and as part of a team
Assist with general workshop duties when required
Participate in the breakdown roster when required
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A recognised trade qualification as a Light Vehicle or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
A current manual driver's licence




Previous experience in a mechanical workshop or fleet maintenance environment
Strong diagnostic, servicing and mechanical repair skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and problem-solving skills
A reliable, positive and hands-on attitude
A commitment to safety, quality workmanship and customer service
Additional experience and licences that would be advantageous:
Heavy vehicle or trailer repair experience
Air conditioning experience
Truck licence (MR, HR or HC)
Experience working on fleet vehicles
Roadworthy inspection licence
