Lift Care Services & Machinery Services Australia
Sumner, Brisbane | Full-time | Monday to Friday
Service Coordinator / Service Advisor
Early Friday Finish & No Weekends
Ready to take your service-advisor skills somewhere new?
If you're an experienced dealership Service Advisor, Service Coordinator or Workshop Controller, you already have the skills we need: looking after customers, organising technicians, managing priorities and making sure jobs are followed through properly.
Lift Care Services and Machinery Services Australia are looking for a capable, personable and highly organised coordinator to take ownership of our daily service operations.
A major part of our work involves wheelchair-access lifters fitted to vehicles used by individuals, families, aged-care providers and disability-service organisations.
We also support construction companies, commercial fleets, government departments and vehicle‐leasing companies.
You don't need experience with our particular equipment.
Your customer service, organisation and follow-through matter most—our experienced technicians handle the technical work, and we'll provide the product and system training you need.
What you'll be doing
You'll coordinate service, repair and inspection jobs from the first customer call through to completion and invoicing.
Your responsibilities will include:
Responding to customer service and repair enquiries
Booking and scheduling field technicians and workshop jobs
Coordinating daily workloads, travel and job priorities
Confirming job requirements and preparing clear technician instructions
Preparing quotations and obtaining customer approvals
Keeping customers informed throughout their jobs
Arranging parts,
suppliers and subcontractors
Reviewing technician notes, timesheets, photographs and reports
Following up outstanding approvals, paperwork and information
Preparing completed jobs for invoicing and prompt closure
Maintaining accurate customer, vehicle, equipment and job records
Helping improve scheduling, job flow and customer-service processes
Who we're looking for
You'll be someone who enjoys helping customers, stays calm when priorities change and takes satisfaction in keeping everything organised.
You will ideally bring:
Service-advising, service-coordination or workshop-control experience
Dealership, automotive, mechanical workshop, equipment-hire or field-service experience
Strong scheduling and organisational skills
Excellent customer service and communication
Confidence working with customers, technicians and suppliers
The ability to manage multiple jobs without losing track of the details
Experience preparing quotations and reviewing job paperwork
Positive computer and administrative skills
Reliable follow-through and a strong sense of ownership
A practical, positive and solutions-focused approach
Experience with Simpro or another job-management system would be highly regarded but is not essential.
Mechanical or technical knowledge would also be helpful, particularly experience with automotive servicing,
hydraulics, vehicle-mounted equipment, access equipment, EWPs or machinery.
However, you do not need to be a mechanic or know our products—that's what our experienced technicians are there for.
A genuinely supportive workplace
You'll join a friendly office team that helps coordinate the other businesses within our group.
Service coordination and accounts work together in the same open-plan office, so support is close at hand and information is shared quickly.
You'll have ownership of your role without being left to manage everything alone.
We're a practical, cooperative team where people help one another and work together to keep customers looked after and jobs moving.
What's on offer
Permanent, full-time employment
Monday-to-Friday hours with no weekend work
An early lunchtime finish every Friday
Competitive remuneration negotiated according to experience
A welcoming and supportive open-plan office
Full product and system training
No dealership sales targets
Support from experienced technicians, accounts and management
Interesting work across private, community, commercial and government sectors
The opportunity to take genuine ownership of the service-coordination role
An immediate start for the right person
