JDA Collective has an exciting opportunities available for aChefs/Cook (Grade 3-5)at their establishment in Wodonga -Huon Hill Tavern.
This venue offers outstanding quality pub food, a wide selection of beverages/cocktails and entertainment activities.
About the role
The positions vacant will involve the preparation and cooking of top quality pub dishes under the Head Chefs direction and high standards.
Huon Hill Tavern's kitchen runs a 6-8 Chef kitchen and this position will require solid working knowledge of Modern Australian cuisine dishes, along with favourite pub classics, as well as previous experience gained in successful, high turnover restaurants or bistros.
The positions on offer are PERMANENT, working to a roster which will include nights and weekends.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing, cooking, plating and presentation of high standard dishes
Keeping yourkitchen section organised and clean
Maintaining stock and ordering




Ensuring the Bistro's high standards are maintained
Mentoring junior members of the team.

Skills and experience
The successful candidate will have the following:
Must be trade qualified and hold certification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate III minimum or equivalent)
Will have minimum three (3) year post qualified experience
Be able to work in a quick-paced environment, under pressure
Possess attention to detail, particularly with regard to plating
Creativeand passionate about food and providing high standards of food service
A genuine passion for food and strong interest in the Hospitality industry
Good communication skills, positive attitudeand be professionally presented at all times
Flexible and available to work nights, weekends, public holidays
Available for an immediate start.
