We work with many prominent retailers across Australia, where our software makes it easier for them to roster to demand, manage staff across stores and departments, and pay staff correctly.
Now we want to grow even faster and bring on more retail groups, so we're hiring for the Head of Retail role.
You will be Tanda's internal retail expert: helping us win more customers, keep them using the product, and make sure what we build matches how stores and multi-site networks actually operate.
Responsibilities & Duties
Help bring on more retail customers: Demo Tanda to store operators, area managers and retail groups.
Join sales conversations, run industry-accurate product walkthroughs, and make introductions that help deals move.
Support Account Executives and Sales Development on discovery, objections, proposals and late-stage close (especially multi-site and franchise networks).
Be the face of Tanda in the retail industry: Represent Tanda at industry events, in online groups, and with operators, peak bodies and influencers.
Build a network that brings Tanda into the rooms where retail owners, GMs and operations leaders already talk.
Collaborate with the Marketing Team to get more retail leads: Work with Marketing on content, webinars, events and other campaigns that speak to retail.
Help shape the positioning, messaging, and customer stories that generate and convert retail leads.
Ensure retail customers continue to use and get the most out of Tanda: Guide retail customers on best practices to stay compliant, keep labour costs in line with sales, and minimise store admin.
Step in on complex accounts and help turn good customers into references.
Be the subject matter expert on everything retail: Be the person Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing come to for how retail businesses run, including store operations, systems, working with head office, and managing front line staff.




Stay up to date on what is happening in the retail industry: Track new laws and regulations, award changes, Fair Work updates, funding and wage decisions, market trends, and the pains and benefits that matter to operators.
Translate that into what Tanda should say, sell and build.
Help the product team build a better product for retailers: Bring the perspective of retail operators and executives to the product team, so they can prioritise the right functionality and take the best approach when building.
