About the Role
An exciting chance has arisen for a Senior Accountant to join this growing public practice team.
In this role, you will manage a portfolio of clients, deliver high-quality accounting and tax services, and work closely with senior management and partners to provide value-added advice.
You will gain exposure to a broad range of entity structures and industries, while also playing a key role in mentoring junior staff and helping clients achieve their business and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and service a portfolio of business and individual clients
Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, BAS and IAS for a range of entity structures, including companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and superannuation funds
Provide tax planning, structuring and business advisory services
Liaise directly with clients and build strong, long-term relationships
Review client structures and assist with the preparation of taxation advice




Monitor KPIs and provide insights to support clients' business growth and strategic goals
Assist with workflow management and mentor graduate and junior accountants
Work closely with Principals and Managers on client engagements and projects
Ensure compliance with Australian taxation and regulatory requirements
About You
3+ years' experience within an Australian public practice accounting firm
CA or CPA qualification, or currently working towards completion
Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation and compliance requirements
Experience managing a portfolio of clients and developing strong client relationships
Ability to mentor and support junior/intermediate staff
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
Self-driven, confident and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team
Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks or similar
A genuine passion for helping clients grow and developing a long-term career in public practice
