Fleet Solutions branch provides full lifecycle management of the fleet assets deployed across Council to support the delivery of services to the City of Brisbane.
We maintain and repair a diverse fleet of vehicles, plant and specialised equipment used across a wide range of operational services.
Looking for variety in your four day work week?
We are seeking an experienced Coach and Body Builder / Boilermaker to undertake the manufacture, repair, maintenance and modification of fleet vehicles and equipment.
Working as part of a skilled workshop team, you will perform a broad range of body repair, fabrication and restoration tasks to ensure fleet assets remain secure, compliant and available for operational use.
This is an excellent opportunity to apply your trade skills across a diverse fleet, work in a secure and supportive environment, and contribute to the delivery of essential services for Brisbane residents.
In this role you will:
undertake body repairs, fabrication, maintenance and modifications on vehicles, plant and equipment
manufacture and repair vehicle bodies, panels and associated components to required standards
work safely and contribute to Council's Zero Harm culture and workplace safety initiatives
assist in the technical training and development of apprentices
collaborate with team members, supervisors and customers to achieve quality outcomes




complete job-related administrative tasks including requisitions, job documentation and quoting activities
maintain a clean, organised and efficient work area.
To be successful you will have:
Certificate III in Bus, Truck and Trailer Manufacture or equivalent trade qualification
demonstrated experience in coach building, body building, boilermakingor vehicle body repair
ability to work autonomously and as part of a team environment
experience providing guidance and support to apprentices
sound interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent customer service
experience completing job-related administration, including quoting or estimating repair work
basic computer skills or the ability to acquire them
current C Class driver's licence.
