We are looking for a friendly, proactive, reliable and organised person to join our team as a Medical Receptionist.
This is a wide-ranging role where no two days are exactly the same, from welcoming patients and managing appointments to supporting our podiatrists, coordinating clinic administration and helping maintain the day-to-day flow of the clinic.

This is a varied role where no two days are exactly the same, from welcoming patients and managing appointments to supporting our podiatrists, coordinating clinic administration and helping maintain the day-to-day flow of the clinic.

Your Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
Welcoming patients and visitors to the clinic
Maintaining a clean, calm and organised reception area




Answering phone calls and responding to patient enquiries
Managing clinic emails and website enquiries
Scheduling and confirming appointments
Processing payments and billing through Cliniko
Processing Medicare, private health insurance and DVA claims
Updating patient records and maintaining accurate documentation
Scanning, filing and managing referrals and correspondence
Instrument sterilisation using autoclave and ultrasonic cleaning equipment, including maintaining sterilisation records
General cleaning and deep cleaning duties throughout the clinic
Conducting stocktakes and maintaining inventory levels of clinical consumables and retail products
Assisting with the sale of clinic products, including foot care products, socks and footwear
Maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
About You
The ideal candidate will be:
Friendly, approachable and confident communicating with people of all ages
Patient and customer-focused, with a genuine commitment to providing an excellent patient experience
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Efficient and proactive, with the ability to take initiative
Able to multitask and manage competing priorities in a busy healthcare environment
Confident and efficient with technology, particularly Apple products and systems
Comfortable learning and using practice management software such as Cliniko
Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
Professional in presentation, communication and conduct
Calm and solutions-focused when managing busy periods or unexpected situations
Positive and willing to contribute to a supportive and growing team
Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service
Availability Requirements
Minimum 14 hours per week
Must be available to work at least 2 full days per week
Working days are Monday to Friday
Shifts can start from 7:30AM and finish at 7PM
