Key responsibilities
You will prepare research supporting the development of legislation and respond to Executive and Ministerial enquiries.
As the Senior Project Officer you will join a energetic and high-performing team responsible for bringing about legislative reform.
Drawing on your experience in developing policy or legislation, research and stakeholder engagement, you will play a key role in shaping legislative reform, influencing policy direction, and supporting the delivery of Government priorities.
You will bring to the team your expertise in developing high-quality policy and legislation advice and coordinating complex submissions,



along with your ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

What you need
To be eligible for fixed term employment you must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia or have a valid visa to live and work in Australia for the duration of the fixed term employment at the time of application.
To work for LGIRS, you must consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a clearance before you start.
Demonstrated experience in the development of policy or legislation aligned to public interest.
