Your new role:
As an Administration Officer within the Mental Health Lounge of Logan Hospital's Emergency Department, you will provide high-quality administrative and front-facing support to patients, families, medical and nursing staff.
You'll play an important role in keeping patient information, admissions, transfers and discharges accurate and ensuring the administrative needs of the service are managed efficiently.
Complete accurate patient registration, admissions, transfers and discharges using hospital information systems.
Provide professional and compassionate support to patients, families, emergency services and the wider community.
Verify patient information and complete required documentation, including Patient Election Forms.
Prioritise competing workloads and work autonomously while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail.
About you:
You are an organised and adaptable administration skilled who can communicate confidently with a diverse range of people.
You'll bring a strong customer focus, sound judgement and the ability to remain professional and organised in a busy Emergency Department environment.
Strong administrative, secretarial and computer skills with excellent attention to detail.
Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
A patient-focused approach with the ability to build positive relationships.
Strong organisation and time-management skills, with the flexibility to respond to changing priorities.
Sound problem-solving and analytical skills, with a practical approach to achieving outcomes.
