The Opportunity
As a Dental Assistant, you will play an integral role in supporting our clinicians, ensuring the smooth delivery of dental treatment and creating a welcoming, comfortable environment for every patient.
This role is ideal for someone who is clinically capable, organised, proactive and passionate about working collaboratively in a busy dental practice.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support & Treatment
Efficiently assist dentists with a wide range of clinical procedures.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of dental instruments, materials and clinical techniques.
Confidently manage suction, instrument transfer, material preparation and mixing techniques.




Anticipate the dentist's and patient's needs throughout treatment.
Prepare and deliver materials as directed by the treating clinician.
Maintain a thorough understanding of materials required for various procedures.
Treatment Room Preparation & Infection Control
Prepare and reset treatment rooms efficiently between patients.
Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organisation in accordance with infection control protocols.
Correctly process contaminated instruments and equipment.
Ensure equipment is appropriately operated, cleaned and maintained.
Monitor treatment room supplies and maintain adequate stock levels.
Patient Care & Experience
Welcome patients warmly and professionally, addressing them by name.
Create a relaxed and positive patient experience.
Escort patients to treatment rooms and provide appropriate pre- and post-treatment support.
Accurately complete patient charts and clinical documentation.
Demonstrate empathy, active listening and genuine interest in patient wellbeing.
Support patient education and dental health goals.
Complete follow-up and aftercare calls when required.
Clinical Administration & Support
Develop, label, mount and file dental radiographs accurately, where applicable.
Review patient records and appointment details to anticipate treatment requirements.
Assist the front office team when needed.




Maintain awareness of and comply with practice policies and procedures.
Participate in team meetings, daily huddles and practice initiatives.
