Role Description
This full-time, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Technician role is based on the Sunshine Coast, QLD.
The technician will install, maintain, and repair refrigeration and air-conditioning systems for a range of commercial and residential clients.
Daily tasks include performing diagnostics and troubleshooting, carrying out preventive maintenance, completing mechanical and electrical repairs, and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently.
The role also involves documenting work performed, following safety procedures and regulatory requirements, and communicating clearly with customers and team members about service needs and recommendations.
Main clients are public and private hospitals along with holiday accommodation, and manufacturer warranty.
Qualifications
Strong skills in maintenance and repair of refrigeration and HVAC systems, including mechanical components.
Proficiency in preventive maintenance practices for refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot system faults and diagnose issues in refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Solid understanding of electricity and safe work practices when working with electrical circuits and controls.
Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in refrigeration and air-conditioning (or equivalent).
Current industry licenses and certifications as required in QLD (e.g., refrigerant handling license).
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites across South East Queensland.
Commitment to protected work practices, attention to detail, and effective problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with clear and professional communication skills.
