Googong Veterinary Centre, a community focused small animal veterinary practice, is looking for an additional veterinary nurse to join our team.
With strong relationships creating a place where both pets and people feel at home, the successful candidate will be able to work part time and have the offer of additional hours at our sister clinics across the city of Canberra.
Key responsibilities
Nursing in hospitalized care
Anesthesia
Treatments
Reception
Blood collection and processing
Assisting with dentistry
Assisting in surgeries
Assisting with and performing radiology under supervision
Running nurse consults and discharges
About you
Completed their certificate IV
Ideally 1-2 year's experience
Exceptional communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure
A team player with a can-do attitude
Reliability
Hold themselves accountable
Capable of working well in both a team environment and independently
Efficient, can problem solve, and will ask for help when needed
