The State Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the residential garage door operations within the States of Victoria & Tasmania.
This includes driving a solid safety culture, achieving revenue and profit targets, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring a robust succession pipeline.
A key accountability is to build and align the State Core Business Plan (CBP) with the overarching Residential CBP, ensuring strategic consistency and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
Champion a proactive safety culture across all sites and teams and ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company safety policies
Monitor and report safety performance metrics and oversee corrective actions as identified by the Safety Team
Drive revenue growth through strategic planning and execution and manage State P&L;'s to achieve or exceed profit targets
Identify and implement cost-efficiency initiatives and forecast and manage budgets in alignment with national objectives
Oversee daily operations including manufacturing, installation, and service




Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery and implement continuous improvement initiatives across processes and systems
Lead the development of the State Core Business Plan (CBP) and ensure alignment with the Residential CBP and national strategic goals
Lead, coach, and mentor state leadership and frontline teams and conduct regular performance reviews and development planning
Identify and develop high-potential talent for future leadership roles and maintain a robust succession plan for critical roles
About you
Proven experience in senior operational leadership, preferably in manufacturing or construction-related industries
Strong financial acumen and P&L; management experience
Demonstrated success in strategic planning and execution
Knowledge of WHS legislation and safety management systems
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
