Looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to work on heavy mobile plant, mining and earthmoving equipment in the Hunter Valley NSW.The role involves servicing, preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, mechanical repairs and fault finding on heavy diesel machinery and mobile plant.We're looking for a mechanic who knows heavy equipment, can diagnose problems properly and can get machinery back to work without needing to be constantly supervised.Roster arrangements can be discussed depending on experience and availability.Key responsibilitiesServicing and preventative maintenance on heavy mobile plantBreakdown repairs and mechanical repairsFault finding and diagnostics on heavy diesel equipmentRepairs and maintenance on mining and earthmoving machineryIdentifying mechanical faults and getting equipment back to workWorking independently when requiredFollowing protected work practicesAbout youCertificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalentCertificate of Proficiency preferredProven experience as a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic, or Mobile Plant MechanicExperience with heavy mobile plant, mining or earthmoving equipmentStrong mechanical, diagnostic and fault-finding skillsAble to work safely and independentlyCurrent Australian Manual Driver's LicenceAustralian working rightsExperience with CAT and other heavy mobile plant is essential and will be expected.If you're an experienced diesel or mobile plant mechanic who knows heavy equipment and is looking for steady work, get in touch.
