Our client is building a new delivery team in Canberra to deliver installation works in a secure government construction environment.
They're looking for a Project Engineer to grow with the team.This is a permanent, full-time role based fully on-site in Canberra.
Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance are essential.You'll support delivery from planning and mobilisation through installation, commissioning, client acceptance and handover.
You'll work closely with senior project leadership, engineers, technicians, subcontractors, the head contractor and the client.Key Responsibilities:Support end-to-end delivery of electronic security work packagesHelp develop and maintain project plans, programmes, milestones and resource plansCoordinate site activities, installation, commissioning and close-outAssist with budgets, cost-to-complete, forecasting, variations and claimsCoordinate technicians, subcontractors and suppliersManage project documentation, testing, commissioning and handover recordsSupport quality, safety, security and contractual complianceBuild strong working relationships with the client,



head contractor and site stakeholdersWhat You'll Bring:Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance3+ years' experience as a project engineer, assistant project manager, project coordination or in a similar project delivery roleExperience on ICT, electri cal or comparable technical-services projectsA solid grasp of project commercials, including budgets, forecasting and variationsStrong planning and organisational skills, with real attention to detailThe confidence to work alongside solid-willed trades on a fast-paced construction siteClear written and verbal communicationCurrent driver's licence, plus a satisfactory National Police Check and probity screeningHighly regarded: experience on government, Defence, critical infrastructure or high-security projects; a current security licence (or the ability to obtain one after appointment).
