You'll lead up to 10 field surveyors in our Design, Construction & Engineering team.
They're mostly single-person crews working on residential construction, design and engineering projects across Brisbane.
Your job is to make every one of them better: sharper technically, more confident, and consistently delivering error-free work within our standard timeframes.You'll run competency assessments,



train new and existing team members, and coach in the field.
When an error happens, you'll investigate it, find the root cause and build the training that stops it happening again.
You'll also make sure every surveyor keeps their vehicle and equipment stocked, maintained and presented like a high-performing crew should.Expect roughly half your week in the field with your team and half in the office.
You'll report to our Operations Manager and work closely with our existing DCE Team Leader and the wider operations team.What we're looking for5+ years' surveying experience, primarily in residential construction, design and engineeringA sound technical foundation: you can check a surveyor's work and show them what good looks likeExperience leading, managing or mentoring peopleCurrent driver's licence and White CardSBQ registrationExperience running competency assessments or structured trainingWho you areYou're a people leader first.
