We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Optical Receptionist to join our team at Fitzpatrick Family Optometrists in Maroochydore, QLD. No Optical Experience Required- we can teach you what you need to know.

You will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the day-to-day operations of our busy optometry practice.

What you'll be doing
Greeting and welcoming customers in a friendly and qualified manner
Assisting customers with frame selection and providing advice on lens options
Minor optical repairs and adjustments
Processing sales transactions and handling cash and card payments
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
Restocking and organising optical display areas

What we're looking for
Previous experience as an Optical Dispenser/Assistant (preferred) or a experienced in a customer service role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with customers
A keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately




Great computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems
A positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude

What we offer

At Fitzpatrick Family Optometrists, we pride ourselves on creating a supportive and rewarding work workplace. Our focus is on great eye care and providing exceptional customer service. We offer above award rates of pay in line with your experience. This role is currently 4 days per week (hours to suit you) with the view to work 5 days per week (full time) as required. Business hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm.
