The opportunity
As the Team Leader Sport Facilities & Activation, you'll play akey role in helping the Hobsons Bay community access highquality sport and recreation facilities, programs and services.
Leading a small team, you'll oversee facility management, clubpartnerships, policy implementation and communityactivationinitiativesthat encourage participation in sport andrecreation while supporting positive community outcomes.
What you'll be doing
Leadand manage the Sport & Recreation team,includingsupervisionof two officers
Oversee the allocation, booking, permitting and utilisation of sport and recreation facilities
Managesport and recreation tenancy agreements andstakeholderrelationships
Negotiate and resolve sporting club and communityfacility matters in line with Council objectives
Implement policies, programs and continuousimprovementinitiativesthat increase participation in sport and recreation
What you'll need to succeed
Tertiary qualification in Recreation, Management or arelated field, or equivalent industry experience
Strongknowledge of sport and recreation industry trends andcommunity sporting club operations




Demonstrated leadership experience managing anddeveloping staff
Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation andrelationship management skills
Stronganalytical, problem solving, report writing andcommunication skills
