Our client is an established, creative technology organisation with a modern manufacturing facility based in Glenorchy, Tasmania.
They are seeking a proactive and solutions-focusedHSE & Facilities Coordinatorto take ownership of health, safety and environmental compliance while ensuring their facilities remain safe, compliant and operating efficiently.
This is a wide-ranging, hands‐on position offering the opportunity to work across HSE, facilities, contractor management, preventative maintenance and emergency preparedness.
You will work closely with operational and technical teams and play an important role in continuing to build a positive, practical safety culture.
The Role
Reporting to the senior Operations leadership team, you will coordinate HSE and facilities activities across the organisation, balancing day‐to‐day operational requirements with longer‐term compliance and improvement initiatives.
Developing, implementing and continually improving HSE policies, procedures and management systems
Conducting workplace inspections, risk assessments and audits to identify hazards and maintain compliance
Coordinating HSE inductions, training, toolbox talks and safety awareness activities
Investigating incidents, near misses and environmental events, including identifying root causes and coordinating corrective actions
Maintaining HSE registers, records and compliance documentation




Coordinating internal and external audits and ensuring actions are appropriately closed out
Overseeing the maintenance, security and operational efficiency of buildings, grounds and facilities
Developing and coordinating preventative maintenance schedules
Managing contractors, service providers and suppliers
Coordinating installation, maintenance, refurbishment and facility improvement projects
Managing statutory inspections, servicing, testing and certification for assets such as fire protection systems, emergency equipment, electrical testing and tagging and regulated equipment
Maintaining maintenance schedules, permits, certifications and asset documentation
Monitoring HSE and facilities expenditure and supporting budget management
Obtaining quotations, negotiating with service providers and supporting procurement activities
Maintaining emergency response plans and coordinating emergency drills and preparedness activities
Supporting business continuity and risk mitigation initiatives.
About You
You will be an organised, practical and solutions‐focused professional who is comfortable taking ownership and working across multiple priorities.




A Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Facilities Management or a related discipline, or 3-5 years' relevant experience in a similar HSE and Facilities position
Previous HSE and/or facilities coordination experience, ideally within a manufacturing, construction or industrial environment
Strong knowledge of workplace compliance, risk management and safety practices
Excellent organisational and coordination skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
Confidence working with contractors, suppliers and service providers
Strong attention to detail, particularly around compliance and documentation
The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Competency with Microsoft Office and process flow software
Unrestricted Australian working rights.
