The Plaza Hotel is looking for a reliable Kitchen Hand to join our team and help keep our kitchen running smoothly, day in and day out.

About the role

You’ll be a key part of our kitchen’s daily operation, supporting our chefs and keeping everything clean, organised and compliant. Your responsibilities will include:
Dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning throughout service
Assisting with basic food preparation as directed by the kitchen team
Receiving, checking and correctly storing deliveries
Maintaining cleanliness of coolrooms, storage areas and workstations to food safety standards
Managing rubbish and recycling, and keeping the kitchen presentable at all times
Supporting the team during busy service periods

What we're looking for
A positive attitude and solid work ethic
Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure
Good attention to detail,



particularly around cleanliness and food safety
A team player who’s happy to pitch in wherever needed
Flexibility to work across our trading days
A current Food Handling certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential — we’ll train the right person
